- Security monitoring data - camera feeds, event clips, alarm metadata, and related records generated by monitored sites you or your organization operate.
- Communications - messages you exchange with us, including SMS/text messages, emails, and support requests.
- Technical data - log data, device and browser information, and usage information collected automatically when you access the Services, including through cookies and similar technologies.
2. How We Use Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, operate, secure, and improve the Services;
- Deliver security event notifications and operational communications, including SMS/text alerts, to the property owners and site contacts who have provided their mobile numbers for that purpose;
- Respond to your requests and provide customer support;

3. SMS / Text Messaging & Mobile Information
If you provide your mobile phone number and consent to receive text messages, Verdun may send SMS notifications relating to security events and operational alerts at the sites you are associated with. Your participation in our messaging program is governed by our Terms & Conditions.
Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of purchase and is not required to use the Services. Text messaging is an optional program you join only by affirmatively opting in at verdun.ai/sms-opt-in. We never treat account creation, a signed monitoring agreement, or any other transaction as consent to text you, and declining or withdrawing consent does not affect your access to the Services.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information sharing with subcontractors who perform support services on our behalf, such as messaging providers and customer service, is permitted solely to operate the Services. All other categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information is not shared with any third parties.
Message frequency varies and depends on the level of security activity at your monitored sites. Message and data rates may apply. You can opt out of text messages at any time by replying STOP, and you can reply HELP for assistance. See our Terms & Conditions for full details.
5. Data Retention
We retain information for as long as needed to provide the Services, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Security monitoring data is retained according to the configuration and contractual terms of the associated site.

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Your Choices
You may opt out of SMS messages at any time by replying STOP. You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by contacting us at the address below, subject to applicable law and any contractual obligations with your organization. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and manage ads personalization from Google at My Ad Center.
8. Children's Privacy
The Services are intended for business use and are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
